Hi! Welcome to the Remnant Pentecostal Church “Hands of Fire” sign team page.
My name is Brittany Coffman and I am proud to say that I am blessed to be the sign team leader to an awesome
group of people. The” hands of fire” are a ministry for the deaf through songs that anyone can enjoy. I don’t call this ministry a talent or a skill; it is my calling and a gift from God. The credit
does not go me or the team, 110 % of it goes to God. We would love to show you
that you don’t have to be deaf or know sign language, and even if you are deaf or hard of hearing like myself
we ALL can be used in the kingdom of God. For those that don’t what sign language is, it is using your hands to communicate
(that is the best way I can put it). I strongly believe that somehow some way we all have callings in our lives. A few
examples may be singing, preaching, being youth leaders, playing instruments, or helping someone in need of prayer. The list goes on and on. Mine just happens
to be signing. How did I know this was my calling you may ask? Well it was after
about four years of not using signs, I mean I signed a few songs here and there but I didn’t use them every day. My family and I went to a church to try it out and we never mentioned anything about
how my sister and I knew sign language. They already had a sign team leader.
A few weeks later the pastor was preaching and I had been praying that God would show me my calling, because I didn’t
think I could sing or anything like that, and I never told a soul that I was praying that night for God to reveal
to me my calling. Well that night we had a youth service, my pastor came
to me and he had tears flowing down his face and he said: “you have been praying for a calling right?" I just broke down and shook my head yes, he grabbed my hands he told me to “use these." I looked
at him and he said” you know what I am talking about?" I said “yes sir” he anointed me and my hands
and the power of God fell on me at that very moment and it felt like fire went through my hands and God revealed
to me in vision me standing in front of a group of 25 to 30 people teaching them signs. A few Sundays later I am
in worship and the pastor goes to the sign team leader at that time and asks her a question and she shook her head no, he
came to me and said here is your chance I said “what do you mean?"He pointed to the back row and said “he is deaf."
I looked up and said “thank you” and took a deep breath and followed the pastor onto the platform and he started
talking and I started signing. The deaf man looked up and smiled , and ever since
then I have used my calling and a lot of times the anointing falls on me and the whole place is like a Holy Ghost earthquake.
At the end God gets the Glory and praise.
You never know who you’re going to minister to signing. Today I have 10 of the 30 people, and I know God
is going to hold to his promise in his time, not ours. I am very proud
to say the pastor that God spoke through that night is the man of God in my life today and has been for the past
5 years. Thank you Brother Graves!! Thank
you for obeying God. I haven’t been taught in 9 years and how can you remember something without studying or in this
case practicing it. I give God all the glory, and thank him for using me. We
would be more than happy to have you be part of our team and the ministry.
God Bless,
Sis Brittany
